Housekeeper for a villa
The person who keeps the house standing. Rarely visible, immediately missed.
A housekeeper is not a cleaner. She runs the house: linen, laundry, supplies, the cleaning staff, the rooms before arrivals, and the hundred small things nobody notices until they stop being done.
What the post covers
- Linen, laundry and ironing to the standard of the house
- Supervising and organising cleaning staff
- Household supplies and stock
- Preparing rooms before arrivals
- Receiving deliveries and tradespeople
Placement or season
Both. Some houses want someone permanent, often full-time and sometimes live-in. Others need cover for the season only, from June to September. We handle either, but the search is not the same and we say so from the start.
For a permanent post we present several profiles with their references, you meet them, and you decide. A trial period is normal and we recommend it.
