A village more than a resort, with owners rather than renters. The work follows.
Megève is largely owned, not rented. Its chalets belong to families who have had them for a long time and who return several times a season. That favours continuity: the same chef, the same housekeeper, year after year.
So the requests look like recruitment rather than seasonal cover. Someone is sought for the winter, sometimes for the year, with the house kept up between stays.
A long season
Unlike the high resorts, Megève lives in summer too: golf, walking, a gentler clientele. That makes keeping staff easier, since the work is not confined to four months.
