Principality
Private chef in Monaco
Almost never villas. Apartments, concierges, access passes, and an organisation unlike anywhere else on the coast.
Working in Monaco means unlearning the habits acquired elsewhere. Work happens almost always in apartments, in buildings where access is controlled, deliveries are regulated and service hours are sometimes set by the residence itself.
The practical constraints
- Entry through the concierge, usually announced in advance
- Deliveries by a separate service entrance
- Underground parking with height limits
- Kitchens sized for a family, not a brigade
A chef discovering all this on the evening itself falls behind. We favour people who have already worked in the Principality, or at least in a managed residence on the coast.
A resident clientele
Monaco has few seasonal lets in the Saint-Tropez sense. Requests come from people who live here, and concern a regular chef, a housekeeper or a butler in post more often than a one-off.
Grand Prix week is a complete exception. Roads closed, access restricted, and no availability at all for anyone asking late. That period is booked months ahead.
