Private chef at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
A few dozen properties, one road in, and a standard of discretion that tolerates nothing approximate.
Cap-Ferrat has few houses and a great deal of history. Its properties are among the most significant in Europe, often inherited, sometimes used for a handful of weeks a year. What is asked for here looks more like running a house than providing a service.
A very short season
Almost everything happens between June and September, peaking in July and August. That concentration has a practical consequence: the people capable of holding this standard are engaged far ahead, often by the previous winter.
A request made in June for August rarely succeeds here. We say so rather than let anyone hope.
Complete teams
A chef alone is seldom enough. These houses run with a butler, a housekeeper, cleaning staff, sometimes a live-in caretaker. We would rather assemble the whole than add one person to an arrangement we do not know.
